Brightside Combats Vandals to Protect Neighborhoods
Brightside Combats Vandals to Protect Neighborhoods
Brightside’s Graffiti Eradication team has been hard at work cleaning up the work of those who vandalize homes, businesses and other structures. It took this team of two almost an hour to remove 200 square feet of graffiti from this highly-visible location on South Jefferson.
To protect the community and property values, Brightside crews will be back to remove graffiti every time this property is defaced. Throughout the past 18 months, Brightside crews have removed graffiti from 6,142 vandalized
homes, schools, businesses and public structures. That is more than 426,000 sq feet of graffiti! Hard to imagine? Consider a 10 foot wide strip 8 miles long – – it would run from Busch Stadium to the Galleria.
The Graffiti Eradication program is paid for through a federal block grant allocated by the City of St. Louis’ Community Development Administration. Alderman Fred Wessels has also been very generous in allocating additional dollars to fully fund this program. This program would not be possible without this funding.
This is a good article. I had to find a company to do Graffiti Removal Monterey a few months ago.
