Perennial reMake + Pints-n-Plants
It’s never too early to start planning your garden goals for the year! Why not focus on increasing the biodiversity and native plants in your garden. Join Perennial’s Director, Jenny Murphy, for a talk about upcycling in the garden and a crafty make-n-take to help get your garden ready for the growing season! Jenny will briefly share fun and creative ways to build garden essentials from reclaimed materials.
Afterwards, create simple projects to attract beneficial pollinators and grow native plants in your backyard.
- Create a bee hotel from salvaged tin cans, natural materials and paper. Your garden will be buzzing with beneficial insects!
- Transform junk mail into pulp and mold handmade paper sprinkled with native seeds. Plant the paper and watch it grow into beautiful plants!
- To help identify the wide-range of plants in your garden, create a set of plant markers from soda cans.
