Saturday, March 14, 2020
Time: 10am to 11:30
Location: South Grand
Project Type: Clean-up project
Description: When we think of what #STLMade means to us we think of service and solidarity. After all, that's what heroes do - they serve their community without asking for reward but knowing it's for the greater good. And, they show solidarity for people in our community who need support, helping to create a more inclusive place with more opportunities for all. We've been amazed with how the St. Louis community is driven to volunteer for so many incredible organizations all with the purpose of making St. Louis the place where you can start up, stand out and stay.
We're using #314Day to put on our capes and do some work - and we need you to join us!
Here's our activities for the day:
SERVICE
10am - Litter Clean Up on South Grand. All participants will get a cape and a free comic for helping us pick up litter on S. Grand and side streets. Our goal is to get everything from just north of Arsenal to Utah and the side streets.
SOLIDARITY
11:30 am - After litter clean up, we're hosting Drag Queen Story time with Helena Handbag! She'll read two stories to all the kiddos who helped out with the litter removal.
Then stick around for our 31.4% off sale on trades, comics and drinks!
More on #314 Day here:
On Saturday, March 14, a number of local events will celebrate the #STLMade movement, including the St. Patrick’s Day Run in Downtown St. Louis, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Cottleville and the 5K Pup Run in Forest Park. In addition, a number of local restaurants, breweries and businesses across the St. Louis region will offer special 3.14 Day discounts and products in their locations. A full list of participating businesses and offers can be found at thestl.com/314day.
The entire community is invited to show its St. Louis pride by visiting these businesses and sharing the experiences on social media using the hashtags #314Day and #STLMade.
