Volunteers Bring the Demo Garden to Life

While Brightside’s programs have evolved over the years, our commitment to creating a cleaner, greener, more sustainable St. Louis has remained constant. In honor of Earth Month we pause to thank the thousands of volunteers and donors who have helped make this possible over the past 40 years.

Today is also a great opportunity to highlight one of our most visible examples of this commitment. In 2011, with the help of Missouri Dept. of Conservation, SWT Design, the City of St. Louis, generous donors, volunteers and a team of U.S. Marine Corps, this vacant eyesore was transformed into a beautiful and educational green space featuring MO native plants and trees.
