Missouri Native Plants Bloom in This Late-April Peek Inside Our St. Louis Demonstration Garden
Spring has sprung in the nearly one-year-old Brightside St. Louis Demonstration Garden! A cool sunny April day last week brought out volunteers to help weed the space, as they do each week. The sun also helped open yellow blooms of lanceleaf coreopsis and purple ones of Missouri rose verbena. This view of the native plant garden is from the rear entrance, looking west to Kingshighway and the famed Italian St. Louis neighborhood – The Hill.
St. Louis Master Gardener JoAnn Alexander prunes a buttonbush as part of her weekly volunteer work in the Brightside Demonstration Garden.
