KMOV and Brightside Work Together to Remove Graffiti

Graffiti can range from simple written words to elaborate and extensive drawings covering walls. When graffiti is placed on a building or structure without the owner’s consent, it is vandalism. Brightside St. Louis combats this everyday with their graffiti removal program.

Eradicating graffiti preserves St. Louis neighborhoods and protects property values. Since offering this service, Brightside St. Louis removed graffiti from more than 120,000 vandalized homes, business and other structures all across our city.

When contacted by KMOV about a building in the Central West End, which had been spray painted without the owner’s consent, Brightside St. Louis once again jumped on the cause. Cleaning up the mess that is left by those committing the crime is always important, but in this particular case, Brightside was responsible for cleaning up vandalism, which used a word that was intended to be derogatory against African Americans. Brightside St. Louis will not stand for this blatant racism and will do all that is possible to keep graffiti off St. Louis structures.
